Delaware River Report: September 4, 2025

The release from Cannonsville is 495 cfs. The release was likely dropped in anticipation of the rain adding enough runoff to meet the flow target in Montague, NJ. Nymphing or swinging wets will likely be the best bets during the day. The wind will be a bit of an issue so look for protected areas. If the wind drops in the evening or you do find protected areas during the day we should see decent olives. There are also some hebes, Isonychias, and Cahills so have those ready just in case.

Today will be 78 degrees and partly cloudy. We may see some afternoon thunderstorms with rainfall of .19 during the day and another .34 overnight. Wind will be 10 – 20 mph from the South.
