Delaware River Report: September 5, 2022

We had some rain overnight but most of it soaked right into the ground. The feeder streams are showing a small bump in flows this morning so click on the links below for the latest flow information. So far the changes have negligible and the release from Cannonsville is under 400 cfs. We may see some thunderstorms today and Wunderground is calling for 3/4″ of rain with more coming overnight. We’ll be much cooler at 71 degrees with wind 5 – 10 mph from the South. Small olives and small flying ants were on the water in good numbers yesterday. Definitely have your cahill / stenos, Isonychias, and small sulphurs.

The East Branch at Fishs Eddy and the Beaverkill at Cooks Falls both peaked over 70 degrees yesterday. Give these sections a break until we get cooler temps.

Chris with a good one yesterday. Daniel Williamson photo
