Delaware River Report: September 5, 2024

The releases remain the same as yesterday. The releases were increased to drop the reservoir levels before the potential aqueduct work in October. The cooler nights have helped to and all of the rivers are in good shape this morning. The West Branch is fine ofr wading with a 619 release. Tiny olives have made up the bulk of the bugs but we are seeing some fall caddis show along with Heptagenia and the Isonychias. The hatches should get stronger as we move into Fall. As normal nymphing or swinging wets will be your best bet early. Look for spots that get shade earlier in the afternoon,

Today will be 75 degrees with sunshine. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the South.

Mike with a good one yesterday. Mike Daccurzio photo
