Delaware River Report: September 8, 2025

The release from Cannonsville is 520 cfs. Yesterday was a mix of small olives and hebes. Heavy on the olives. Some fish were willing to eat Isonychias and Cahills but the small olives were definitely the preferred bug. Today looks similar to yesterday with a bit more sun. Nymphing or swinging wets will be the best bets during the day but keep an eye on the slow pools for fish sipping super small olives or flying ants.

Today will be 68 degrees with sun and a few clouds. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the North.

Rob with a nice one yesterday. Sean Witman photo
