Delaware River Report / Conditions August 10, 2021

Yesterday wan another bright, sunny day. So it fished the same as it has been .  Sulphurs with a few olives on the Upper West. Normal Deposit fishing.  Be patient and if you can’t get the fish to eat throw something different just to mix it up.   Mid to lower West was better nymphing than dries yesterday.  There are some spots with caddis mixed with a few cahills, Isonychias, and olives.  Not if great numbers but enough to get a few fish looking up in the evening.  Today could be totally different Since we should see some clouds.  Wunderground is calling for a 50% chance of some afternoon thunderstorms.  We shouldn’t see a lot of rain out of it.  Hopefully we get some light storms that push the bugs.

The Beaverkill at cooks Falls, East Branch at Fishs Eddy, and Upper Mainstem all peaked over 70 degrees yesterday.  Those rivers are done for a while.
