Delaware River Report / Conditions August 11, 2021

There was a quick pulse from Cannonsville that bumped the Stilesville flow to 650 cfs but that is already dropping back this morning.  The extra 50 cfs won’t be noticeable as it works it’s way down the river.  Yesterday’s thunderstorms missed us and we had a mix of clouds and sun most of the afternoon.  The Upper West and very Upper East are still your best bet for daytime dry fly activity.  Nymphing has produced on the mid to lower West Branch and we are seeing some flushes of olives, cahills, and a few Isonychias as the sun drops.

The West Branch fish are in great shape still

The Beaverkill at Cooks Falls, East Branch at Fishs Eddy, and Upper Mainstem all peaked close to or over 70 degrees yesterday.  Those rivers are done for a while.
