Today we are getting a break from the sun. We’ll have some storms moving through but the forecasted rain total is only .32 for the day. The release from Cannonsville has been dropped again and is 619 cfs this morning. The release from Pepacton has also been decreased and the flow at Downsville is 487 cfs. The system is now at a good level for wading and floating. It seems like a long time since we’ve been able to wade system wide. Sulphurs, cahills, and isonychias are making up most of the bugs we’re seeing. There are some caddis mixed in and if you’re close to the dams have your green drake and green drake spinners with you. If you’re fishing the freestones or Mainstem check the temp with your thermometer before you get in the water.
