Delaware River Report / Conditions August 14, 2021

Yesterday was another hot, tough day until a stray thunderstorm finally hit us mid afternoon.  After the rain the olives came off in good numbers and some fish were looking up.  Hopefully that’s the last over 90 degree bright sunny day we see for a long time.  Today should be 77 degrees with a mix of clouds and sun.  The overnight low will be 53 degrees.  Hopefully the low air temps and cloud cover help cool some of the rivers down.  The mid day sulphurs should offer some early fishing in Deposit.  Mid to low West Branch should fish well with nymphs early and then a mix of olives, cahills, and a few Isonychias in the evening.  If we do get hit by a stray storm  get out there as soon as it passes.

Ed jumped the gun by 24 hours and picked the first bag of West Branch garbage yesterday!
