9:30 am update: The feeder streams are adding color to the West Branch and we’re seeing mud in Home Pool.
The rain held off until after dark. We have some light rain falling this morning but so far everything looks fine. It looks like the releases were bumped up a bit and the flow at Stilesville is 522 cfs as of 5:30 am. The West Branch looks clear out front. We may see an additional half inch of rain over the course of the day that may affect the feeder streams. If we really only get 1/2″ it will soak right into the ground. If anything drastic happens to the river we’ll do a mid day update. Otherwise we’re looking at 65 degrees and wind 5 – 10 mph from the South. Olives, sulphurs, and cahills will be the main hatches. If the feeders do add color to the water it should make for decent streamer fishing.
