Yesterday was another good day. Blue Quills and hendricksons are making up the bulk of the hatch with strong numbers of apple caddis on some sections. There were rising fish throughout the system. This has been a good week for dry fly action. Cannonsville is spilling 1,906 cfs with a release of 673 cfs. Oquaga Creek has dropped to 152 cfs. Floating is still the only option on the tailwaters. The Willowemoc and Beaverkill will have some wade opportunities now. Wading on those rivers should improve over the weekend.
We’re hitting a warming trend with the air temp going to 65 degrees today. Mostly sun with a few clouds. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the North. There is no rain in the forecast for this coming week.
