Yesterday was tough in the bright sun and low water but people did find fish. It’s fishing a lot like Summer with caddis and some mayflies during the day and the majority of mayflies coming more in the evening, Patience is the key early. Sulphurs, Light Cahills, March Browns, cornutas and a few Green Drakes are hatching. Tan caddis are showing in good numbers still during the day. Dark Blue Sedges #14 are out in the evening (Psilotreta sp.). Today looks like it will be very similar to yesterday so it should fish the same.
Today will even warmer hitting 84 degrees with sunshine. Wind will be light and variable. Keep an eye on the water temps on the usual spots. The Beaverkill at Cooks Falls, East Branch at Fishs Eddy, and Mainstem at Lordville all peaked at 66 degrees yesterday,
