Delaware River Report: September 24, 2025

The release from Cannonsville has be reduced to 350 cfs. We woke up to some light rain this morning. This is probably the best fishing weather we’ve seen in a long time. The feeder creek flows have bumped slightly but it won’t be noticeable on the river. The West Branch will still have the “tint” from the release but it should be less color than yesterday. The lower release should concentrate the bugs and fish a little more than we’ve seen in weeks. Olives and hebes are still making up most of the bugs but there are Isonychias, Cahills, and flying ants around.

Today will be 73 degrees with clouds and periods of rain. Total rainfall during the day should be .03″. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the South.
