Delaware River Report: July 11, 2026

The release from Cannonsville is 500 cfs. It looks like they pulsed the release overnight but we are dropping back to normal this morning. We’re in the Summer weather pattern where they are saying a chance of thunderstorms every afternoon. So far they haven’t materialized but it’s worth packing a raincoat. Look to the coldest water for daytime dry fly action. If you want to nymph or swing wets stay a little lower to avoid the algae in Deposit. Sulphurs, Cahills, Isonychias, olives, and some caddis are all out on the water. Blind casting Cahills and Isonychias can be effective when there isn’t a hatch.

Today will be 84 degrees with sunshine and clouds mixed. There is a chance of a stray shower or thunderstorm. Wind will be light and variable.
