Yesterday fished well over all and it was a beautiful day to be on the water. There was some wind but the warmer temps and sunshine made up for that. Nymphs and streamers are still the go to in the morning. By mid afternoon we’re seeing the hendricksons, blue quills, and olives hatch. There are still some little black caddis around too. Today should fish well. We’ll see 66 degrees and sunshine which should push up the water temps this afternoon. The river flows are dropping opening up few more wade opportunities. The East, West, and Mainstem are still high but are settling down. They are still best for floating. The best wade opportunities are still the Beaverkill and Willowemoc. The Upper East Branch is getting there and may offer some wading in the next couple of days. The spill over Cannonsville Reservoir is down to 210 cfs. The 10 day forecast has changed for the better and we’re not seeing any significant rain this week.
Today will be 66 degrees with sunshine. Wind will be 10 – 15 mph from the South.
Our friend Diane is raising money for one of our favorite events Paint the Delaware Pink — which we host here at the DRC each September. Please consider donating and supporting an amazing program that uses fly fishing as a recovery tool for breast cancer.
