The river flows are dropping but there is still a lot of water coming in from the feeders. The West Branch at Hale Eddy is just over 1,000 cfs so there are some wade opportunities opening up on the lower West. We should see sunshine this afternoon so for dry fly fishing stick to the normal Summer program and fish the coldest water closest to the dams with small sulphurs and olives. The lower West is in good shape for nymphing and wet flies. Streamers could be a good move in low light.
