Delaware River Report: August 20, 2023

The river flows have fall but there is still a lot of water in the system. The flow at Hale Eddy is 1,370 cfs. Some people will wade certain areas at that flow. Fishing from a boat is still the better option. Use your best judgement. The Stilesville area is still fine for wading and there are a few small sulphurs and olives. The sulphur hatch is waning but there are still some and you may see a decent flush here and there. Have some flying ants and Isonychias in your box. The lower West has mostly been streamers but we are clear enough to nymph and blind cast Isonychias.

Today will be 82 degrees with a sunshine. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the South.
