Delaware River Report / Conditions August 20, 2021

We had some rain but the river flows have already peaked and are beginning to drop.  The West Branch is in fine shape at 677 cfs at Hale Eddy and looks clear out front.  The flow should drop during the day but we’ll stay at a good level for both wading and floating. We have a slight chance of an afternoon thunderstorm but today should be mostly clouds, 80 degrees, with wind from the North 5 – 10 mph.  Sounds like it could be a good olive day.  Otherwise nymphing or blind casting Isonychias in the riffles have been bringing some fish to net.
