Delaware River Report / Conditions May 11, 2020

We are now allowed to guide one client at a time in Pennsylvania.  If you would like a solo guided trip or guided trip with an immediate family member from the same household, send us an email at flyfish@thedelawareriverclub.com or call 570-635-5880 and we’ll try to fit you in.

Yesterday was a good day to be on the water.  The wind was tough at times but there were enough breaks that the fish were eating on top.  Blue quills and hendricksons seemed to be the flies of choice.  The flows throughout the system are still dropping slowly.  Waders now have options that weren’t available a week ago and the water is still high enough to float.  Today looks like another good fishing day despite the wind forecast.  We should see some rain showers this morning and a few scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon.  The air temp will hit 51 degrees.  Wind will be 10 – 20 out of the West.  The wind is not ideal but it’s better than the snow we had over the weekend.  Less than 1/4″ of rain is expected.

We are following the State’s order and the shop is still closed to walk in business.  We are still fulfilling mail orders in the online store:  https://drc-fly-shop.myshopify.com

Curbside pickup is now a shipping option in the online store.
