Delaware River Report / Conditions May 4, 2020

Some people did well yesterday and other people struggled to find consistent rising fish.  Blue quills, hendricksons, and a few different caddis species came off in the afternoon.  Fish got on them in the slow water and edges.  Some fish fed consistently while others were very sporadic.  Luck and patience went a long way yesterday.  Both reservoirs are still spilling so the water is up.  The East and Main flows are dropping slowly as the Beaverkill drops.  The West Branch flow is staying pretty level with the spill.  Today will be cooler hitting 54 degrees with some clouds and sunshine.  Wind will be up a bit hitting the teens from the North.

We are following the State’s order and are closed right now.  We are still fulfilling mail orders in the online store:  https://drc-fly-shop.myshopify.com

Curbside pickup is now a shipping option in the store

Let’s keep the local pictures going.  Since everyone should be fishing local to their homes send us pictures of your locally caught fish and we’ll put them here on the blog.  Even chubs would be cool.  Email them to flyfish@thedelawareriverclub.com
