We had some rain overnight but most of it soaked into the ground, The release from Cannonsville was bumped slightly to 523 cfs. The little bit of extra water is probably for the Montague Flow Target. Sulphurs, Light Cahills, March Browns, cornutas and Green Drakes are hatching. Dark Blue Sedges #14 are out in the evening (Psilotreta sp.). The hatching has been sporadic but will hopefully settle in with the cooler weather and a few clouds. Despite the rain the Beaverkill at Cooks Falls, East Branch at Fishs Eddy, and Mainstem at Lordville all peaked at or above 70 degrees again yesterday, It’s time to give these rivers a break.
Today is going to be much cooler peaking at 75 degrees with a partly cloudy sky. Wind will be 10 -15 mph from the North. We have a light chance of a thunderstorm.
