Delaware River Report: June 8, 2023

The release from Cannonsville was bumped slightly but not enough to notice on the water. The hatches came earlier than we’ve been seeing lately with a good mix of bugs. We may have had cloud cover but it was hard to tell through the smoke haze. The cooler nights dropping the water temps certainly helps too. Sulphurs, Light Cahills, March Browns, cornutas and Green Drakes are hatching. Dark Blue Sedges #14 are out in the evening (Psilotreta sp.). Pale Evening Duns are showing in good numbers.

Today will hit 62 degrees with the possibility of a light rain shower. Total precip should be .04″. Wind will be 5 -10 mph from the North. It’s going to be hazy with the smoke in the air again.
