Delaware River Report: May 2, 2022

Today looks like a good day to be on the water. Cloud cover early with some light showers possible in the afternoon. The rain totals should be negligible. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the South. Hendricksons, blue quills, quill gordons, and blue wing olives. Have a few black caddis handy. There are some spinners on the water mixed with the duns mid afternoon. Nymphing before the hatches has brought some fish to the net. The bugs happened a little later yesterday. Probably due to the bright sunshine.

The West Branch at Stilesville is 1,360 cfs. It does look like the reservoirs have stopped spilling. There are a few wade opportunities over here if you’re a strong wader and careful.
