Delaware River Report: October 4, 2025

The release from Cannonsville is 1,349 cfs. The higher release means more tint in the West Branch. That should help the streamer fishing. Nymphing will also be a good bet early. Olives are making up the bulk of the bugs but there are Isonychia, Cahills, hebes, and the caddis are picking up. We’re seeing the hatches in the late afternoon in to the evening. Today’s weather looks good for spinners. Wading is getting tough on the West Branch but the Mainstem is relatively low so there there are good opportunities there.

Today will be 79 degrees and sunny. Wind will be light and variable.
