Delaware River Report: September 26, 2025

The release from Cannonsville is 350 cfs. We got some much needed rain and the West Branch came through just fine and is still at a good level for floating and wading. The flow at Hale Eddy is 532 cfs. The feeder streams are adding a bit more below the gauge but overall we look good. We are off color but fishable. It will clear as the runoff subsides. Most of the runoff is on the Beaverkill and East Branch. We’re still seeing small olives. Nymphs and streamers were the best bets yesterday with some fish eating the olives in the slow foam lines.

Today will be 70 degrees with cloudy skies in the morning turning partly cloudy this afternoon. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the North.
