Delaware River Report / Conditions August 21, 2021

We woke up to some rain that must have started overnight.  Some of the river flows are up quite a bit but the West Branch looks good as of 6 am.  If that changes we’ll post an update.  Last night was good fishing on a mix of flying ants, Isonychias, and some olives.  We could see the ants coming out of the ground by 4 pm.  It was a good size mix but we stuck with flies we could see.  As it got darker the Isonychias were coming off in good numbers in the riffles.  If the river flows stay somewhat stable today should be a really good day on the water.  It sounds like scattered thunderstorms so hopefully they slide south of us.
