Delaware River Report: July 6, 2026

The release from Cannonsville is 500 cfs. We woke up to more rain but so far the West Branch looks fine and even the flow at Oquaga Creek is level. If anything changes we’ll post an update. The East Branch and Beaverkill were hit with more rain and the flows are up quite a bit in those drainages. Sulphurs, Cahills, Isonychias, olives, and some caddis are all out on the water. Blind casting Cahills and Isonychias can be effective when there isn’t a hatch. Head to the colder water for the best hatching. Sulphurs were definitely the main hatch on some upper river sections.

The Beaverkill, lower East Branch, and Mainstem are starting close to or over 70 degrees today. It’s time to give these rivers a break until they cool back down.

Today will be 69 degrees with clouds in the morning and possible thunderstorms in the afternoon. Rain totals around .14″. Wind will be 5 – 10 cfs from the South.
