Delaware River Report: July 7, 2026

The release from Cannonsville is 500 cfs. The West Branch is clearand at a decent level for wading and floating. We have a little rain coming down this morning but not enough to change anything. The East Branch and Beaverkill were hit with more rain and the flows are still up and off color. Sulphurs, Cahills, Isonychias, olives, and some caddis are all out on the water. Blind casting Cahills and Isonychias can be effective when there isn’t a hatch. Head to the colder water for the best hatching.

Today will be 70 degrees with clouds. Wind will be light and variable.

What’s Hatching:
Dark Blue Wing Olive – #16 – 18 – Baetis vagans
Sulphur – 16 – 20 – Ephemerella dorothea
Tan Caddis – #16 – 20 – Hydrosyche sp
Light Cahill – #14 – Epeorus vitreus, Ephemerella invaria, Stenacron spp.
Slate Drake – #12-2xl – 12 – Isonychia bicolor
